Easter & warm weather meant it was a good time to head off to the Victorian Desert. Nine vehicles made the long 500km journey to the sleepy town of Rainbow, which lies at the base of the Wyperfeld NP & Big Desert State Forest.

Our journey took us through the sands of Wyperfeld, crossing the dry Lake Albacutya.

Milmed Rock is always a favourite to climb before heading into the Big Desert State Forest.

Much fun was had at Ross Springs where the soft dry dunes gave us some interesting sand driving.

Our final excitement was to travel down the border fence which divides the States of Victoria & South Australia. The history of this incorrectly placed fence is great reading!

After more fun on the Border Track dunes & 4 days of warm sunny weather, it was time to head home.
